   What happens during Stroller Fitness classes?

We start with a power walk for a warm-up, then some stretching. We continue on our walk, stopping along the way to use our environment and our resistance bands to do some muscle strengthening. The last 15-20 minutes of class incorporates core strengthening and more stretching. This is when the babies come out of the strollers and play with the Mamas! Most exercises concentrate on the muscle groups that are used and abused during pregnancy and while caring for your little one.top


   What do I need to bring with me to class?

Bring your baby! Jogging strollers are recommended; umbrella strollers are discouraged. Most locations are outdoors. Please dress appropriately for the weather with layers, hats, sun block, etc. You may want to bring a stroller cover for protection from the sun and light rain. Bring water – enough for before, during, and after your workout. You will need a towel or yoga mat for our ground exercises. A resistance band will be provided for you. For older children, snacks and toys are a good idea as well!top


   How do I register for a class?

At One Fit Mama™, we know how important flexibility is to a Mom! While we do recommend phoning or emailing before your first class so that your Instructor can have paperwork prepared for you, it is not necessary to register for classes ahead of time. You may attend as many locations as you wish, as often as you desire. We have a variety of pricing plans to fit your needs. Click here for more details on pricing. Unlimited class cards allow you to attend as many classes as you want within the time frame that your card is activated (1, 3, or 12 months); our punch card system allows you to attend as many classes as you purchase, with no expiration date. Sessions are ongoing. Join at any time! There is no need to commit to one class time or location!top


   How do I purchase a package of classes?

One Fit Mama™ offers a variety of payment options to fit your needs. You may purchase classes in person at class with cash or a check. Instructors do not carry change. If you do not have exact change, we are happy to apply a credit towards your next purchase of classes or apparel. If you prefer to use your credit card, you may make your purchase through our secure online store using PayPal.    Where are classes held?

Please check out our schedule to see the current class locations that we offer. We add new locations often, so please let us know if there is a more convenient location that you would like to see a class held.top


   I am pregnant. Is this class safe for me?

All One Fit Mama™ Instructors are certified and have undergone additional coursework in Prenatal and Postpartum Exercise. During your first trimester, you will do the same exercises as the Postpartum Mamas. After the first trimester, some of your exercises will be modified to fit the guidelines set forth by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Six weeks after your baby is born, and when cleared by your physician, you may resume the Postpartum Exercises.top


   What happens if my baby becomes fussy?

We’ve all been there! At One Fit Mama™, we know that your baby is your first priority. Please feel comfortable doing whatever works to comfort your baby. Most Moms have had to nurse/feed, change, or rock their baby during class on occasion. If you need to stop, please let someone know; we usually take the same route to make it easier for you to catch up with the group. Your Instructor can not be responsible for your baby, but she will be more than willing to help you. That being said, most usually fussy babies do just fine. They are sometimes lulled to sleep by all of the motion, or intrigued by all of the activity around them. You are invited to try out your first class for free, to see how your child reacts. We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how much your baby loves to exercise with you!top


   Will my active toddler be able to make it through these classes?

Most children do very well in all of the classes. During their time in the stroller, you will be interacting with your child, and he or she will be stimulated by his surroundings (lights, nature, mothers exercising, other children). When we stop to do ground exercises, the children come out of the strollers. They really enjoy interacting with their Moms, as well as the other children, and many mimic the exercises alongside of their Moms. What a great way to instill in your child the value of a healthy lifestyle from the start! Lots of Moms find that packing some toys and snacks is helpful too.top


   What if I have two young children?

Bring them both to experience the fun! We have many Mamas who come to One Fit Mama™ classes with double jogging strollers.top


   Are the instructors trained in prenatal and postpartum fitness?

Absolutely! Every One Fit Mama™ Instructor is certified in prenatal and postpartum exercise. You'll be exercising with other women who are pregnant or have just had babies, and all exercises have been modified to be safe, for you and your child. If you have any special concerns, we encourage you to talk to your instructor and let her know about them. Classes are small, so feel free to ask questions and get the special attention you deserve. If you want to kick your workout up a notch -- just let your instructor know. She can help you get the most of your exercise routine.top
